Snr Mgr / AD EHDS Data Cataloguing

Johnson & Johnson, a global leader in innovative medicine and medical‑technology solutions, is looking for a Senior Manager / Associate Director to head the European Health Data Space (EHDS) Data Cataloguing workstream within its Clinical Data Transparency unit. The role sits under the Director of Clinical Data Transparency, Data Sharing and is responsible for building and maintaining a comprehensive catalogue of J&J's health‑data assets that fall under the EHDS framework. On a day‑to‑day basis the incumbent will drive the EHDS Data Inventory and Cataloguing stream, bringing together data owners from multiple functions to map the full set of in‑scope datasets, sources and holdings. They will create and keep up‑to‑date records that capture ownership, applicable EHDS categories, key characteristics, source information, status and dependencies. The job also involves applying the EHDS secondary‑use data categories and the HealthDCAT‑AP metadata standard so that entries are complete, consistent, interoperable and discoverable by health‑data access bodies and prospective users. The leader will develop the minimum metadata requirements, decision frameworks, classification guidance and data‑owner instructions, while coordinating validation, gap‑closing and remediation activities through the appropriate governance channels. The position demands a deep, practical understanding of data cataloguing, metadata management, classification schemes, data‑governance principles and clinical‑data contexts. Candidates must be comfortable working across legal, privacy, regulatory and technology teams to embed sustainable processes for legacy, in‑flight and future data holdings. The role also requires the ability to define and operationalise data‑quality and utility‑labeling approaches in partnership with subject‑matter experts, and to ensure that catalogue descriptions stay aligned with downstream activities such as data minimisation, anonymisation, pseudonymisation and intellectual‑property reviews. The role is offered on a hybrid model with three days per week on site, and can be based in Beerse (Belgium), Leiden (Netherlands), High Wycombe/Maidenhead (UK), Allschwil (Switzerland) or Spring House/Titusville/Raritan (USA). Remote work may be approved on a case‑by‑case basis. The position is open to applicants across the listed countries, with each posting carrying its own requisition number to meet local compliance.
