Stadler, a global provider of rail solutions, is seeking a Customer Service & Commissioning Technician for its ETCS portfolio. The position supports the company’s aim to shape future mobility by delivering technical assistance and commissioning services for train control and signalling equipment. The daily work involves setting up and testing ETCS and related signalling systems on rail vehicles, offering customer assistance during warranty and operational periods, and diagnosing problems using system logs, JRU data and diagnostic tools. The role also requires preparing technical documentation, providing remote help, and carrying out on‑site interventions, as well as planning and conducting commissioning activities, system tests and training sessions together with customers, suppliers and project teams across borders. Applicants must have completed a technical vocational program such as automation, electronics or mechatronics, with higher‑education studies at a technical college or university of applied sciences considered advantageous. Prior experience in commissioning, service engineering or railway system integration is expected, and familiarity with ETCS, train control or signalling systems is beneficial. Fluency in German and solid English communication skills, both written and spoken, are required, along with a willingness to travel roughly 40‑60 % throughout Switzerland and Europe. Additional assets include an independent, structured and solution‑focused work style, high commitment and flexibility, and an interest in a technically demanding international setting. The role offers discounts on leisure activities, phone plans and insurance, regular company events and support for further education.
