Robotics Technology Deployment Steward (Device, Packaging and Distribution)

The role of Robotics Technology Deployment Steward is crucial in this initiative, specifically within the Pharma Technical Operations Global MSAT and Engineering function (PTT). This position involves leading the deployment of state-of-the-art robotics and automation technologies, such as Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and cobots, into Roche's commercial manufacturing and logistics environments. The main responsibilities of the Robotics Technology Deployment Steward include leading complex robotics deployment projects from concept to qualification, driving feasibility assessments and pilot implementations, and converting global technology roadmaps into site-level execution plans. The role also involves establishing and validating global standards for hardware, software, and cybersecurity, as well as collaborating with various teams to integrate robotic systems into existing architectures. Additionally, the steward will manage the lifecycle of robotics and automation vendors, from technical evaluation to performance monitoring. To excel in this role, candidates must have a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline. A minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in robotics integration, complex automation deployment, or manufacturing engineering within highly regulated industries is required. Proficiency in IT/OT layers (SCADA/MES) and basic data processing/coding literacy, such as Python or SQL, is also essential. Direct experience with high-speed discrete robotics, cobots, and other relevant technologies is highly valued. Nice-to-have skills include certifications in Business Administration, Change Management, or Systems Engineering.
