Event Manager

The International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations seeks an Event Manager to steer the full lifecycle of its conferences, meetings and discussion platforms. The role supports IFPMA’s mission as a global convenor and thought‑leader, delivering programmes that shape policy and public dialogue. Day‑to‑day duties involve orchestrating the external events calendar, guiding the execution of online, mixed‑format and face‑to‑face gatherings in partnership with policy and communications teams. Tasks include scouting venues, conducting site inspections, liaising with suppliers for audio‑visual, catering, interpretation and security, handling registration systems, configuring digital meeting tools and acting as the primary contact on site. The manager also curates a stakeholder register, ensuring data‑privacy compliance, and oversees logistics for senior‑level governance sessions such as council meetings, covering attendance tracking, venue arrangements, travel and accommodation. Additional responsibilities cover crafting event designs that stimulate dialogue, maintaining vendor relationships in Geneva, driving communication plans to boost registrations, updating the events web page, and analysing post‑event data to inform future improvements.
