Accounting Policy Advisor

The Accounting Policy Advisor role sits within UBS's global Group Accounting Policy (GAP) team, a specialist group that supplies accounting policy guidance to every business line and support function of the bank. UBS is a worldwide wealth manager and the leading universal bank in Switzerland, operating in more than 50 markets and serving clients across wealth management, investment banking, asset management and Swiss personal and corporate banking. In this position you will shape and communicate IFRS accounting policies, offering advice on a broad spectrum of topics to divisions such as Global Wealth Management, the Investment Bank and Asset Management. You will coordinate the GAP's accounting‑change workflow, monitor IFRS standard‑setting activities, and organise the team's contributions to UBS's quarterly and annual external reporting. Keeping abreast of emerging accounting issues, you will also help implement new policy requirements together with the affected business units, finance partners and technology teams, deepening your insight into the banking ecosystem. The ideal candidate holds a university degree together with an internationally recognised accountancy qualification such as ACA or CPA, and has accumulated four to six years of experience in public accounting, audit or an accounting advisory function. A solid grasp of IFRS standards, fluency in English and strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint are essential. The role also demands clear written and verbal communication, the ability to analyse complex issues with meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive, solution‑focused attitude.
