OpenTable, a leading reservation and front‑of‑house platform owned by Booking Holdings, connects millions of diners with tens of thousands of restaurants worldwide. The company's technology helps eateries improve service, increase revenue and focus on their guests and staff. The opening is for a Sales Manager, also titled Account Executive, who will operate from Zurich while largely working remotely, travelling within Switzerland as needed. In this role the primary aim is to grow the network of restaurant partners by prospecting new accounts and consistently beating acquisition targets. The incumbent will nurture relationships with high‑profile venues, acting as a trusted adviser who challenges current practices and shares market insights. Presentations of the product suite will be tailored, data‑driven and delivered both on‑site and virtually to match each client's requirements. The candidate will also craft detailed business plans, outline selling tactics, counter competitive objections and demonstrate the long‑term value of the solution. Managing the territory through Salesforce, forecasting activity, handling contracts and feeding customer feedback to product and marketing teams are essential parts of the day‑to‑day workflow, as is maintaining a visible presence in the hospitality community through networking. The position demands a solid background in B2B enterprise sales, with at least five years of experience and a proven record of meeting or exceeding sales goals, including outbound lead generation and pipeline oversight. Fluency at native level in Swiss German and business‑level competence in English are required; additional native Italian or French skills are considered advantageous. Candidates must be comfortable using a CRM such as Salesforce and the Google Workspace suite, and be able to operate independently in a remote setting while traveling domestically up to 60 % of the time. Preferred qualifications include a university degree or comparable practical experience, previous exposure to restaurant management or food‑service sales, and the ability to leverage data and analytics to build persuasive business cases. Strong capabilities in time management, discovery, and negotiation are valued, as is a collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for continuous learning within hospitality technology. The role is based in Zurich but offers flexibility to work from almost any location for up to twenty days per year, with a schedule that aligns with a global team across multiple time zones. OpenTable provides a comprehensive benefits package: generous vacation time, additional days for personal milestones, paid parental leave, pension contributions, health‑care subsidies, lunch‑card allowance and accident insurance. Employees enjoy mental‑health resources, a company‑wide week off each year, development funds, leadership training, extensive e‑learning libraries, travel discounts and access to employee resource groups. The company emphasizes an inclusive culture where diverse perspectives are welcomed and accommodations are available throughout the hiring process. What the role asks for: - 5+ years B2B enterprise sales experience - Native-level Swiss German proficiency - Business-level English proficiency - Proven record of goal‑oriented sales performance - Experience with outbound lead generation and pipeline management - Proficiency with Salesforce CRM - Proficiency with Google Workspace - Ability to work remotely with up to 60% travel - Bachelor's degree or equivalent (nice‑to‑have) - Restaurant management or food‑beverage sales experience (nice‑to‑have) - Strong data‑analytics and business‑case building skills (nice‑to‑have) - Excellent time‑management, discovery and negotiation abilities (nice‑to‑have) - Collaborative, team‑oriented mindset with passion for hospitality tech (nice‑to‑have)
