Senior Data Engineer (Databricks)

In this role you will evaluate clients’ data environments, mapping sources, architectures and quality issues, then work with business and IT partners to turn those insights into robust data platforms. You will design, construct and sustain scalable pipelines, data lakes and warehouses on modern cloud stacks, implement appropriate data models, schemas and governance structures, and support analytics and reporting needs. The position also involves contributing to pre‑sales activities such as solution design and effort estimation, as well as troubleshooting large‑scale distributed data systems while staying current with best practices. The essential background includes more than five years of data‑engineering experience focused on data platforms, modeling and production‑grade pipelines. You must have hands‑on expertise with either Databricks or Microsoft Fabric, with familiarity with both considered a strong plus, and a track record of integrating SAP data. Proficiency in distributed processing tools like Spark, data lake/warehouse concepts, ETL/ELT patterns and Python development is required, along with a leadership mindset, the ability to manage engineering teams, and strong consulting communication skills.
