Head of Sales Operations

We are seeking a Head of Sales Operations for the Plasma Control Technologies division of Comet, a Swiss‑based leader in high‑tech X‑ray and radio‑frequency components. The position can be based at either the Flamatt (Switzerland) or Penang (Malaysia) site, where the team delivers specialised plasma‑control parts for memory chips, touch screens and other advanced devices. In this role you will create and manage a high‑performing global Sales Operations function that supports capital equipment, spare parts, upgrades and service work. You will supervise worldwide order management and the quote‑to‑collect cycle, making sure all activities respect contracts, internal policies, export controls and trade rules. Data governance for pricing, customer master data, product configuration and overall data quality will be under your ownership. You will also enhance forecasting, bookings, backlog visibility and shipment prioritisation, while keeping customers informed about delivery commitments. Close collaboration with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, Trade Compliance and Field Service will be essential to drive cross‑functional improvements and reporting. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related discipline. You bring more than ten years of experience in Sales Operations, Commercial Operations, Customer Service or Supply Chain, preferably within the semiconductor or capital‑equipment arena. Proven expertise in quote‑to‑collect, order execution, bookings, backlog handling, shipment planning and revenue‑related processes is required. Advanced knowledge of enterprise systems and strong Excel capabilities are mandatory, as is at least five years of leadership experience in a global or matrix‑structured environment. Additional assets include hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA and proficiency in German, both of which are considered advantageous.
