The position of Operations Manager is open at Terminal Investment Limited (TiL), a top‑tier operator of container terminals with assets across several continents. The role is based at TiL's headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, and will sit at the core of the company's worldwide operations network, collaborating with terminal leaders to raise performance standards and optimise capacity. Day‑to‑day duties involve partnering with terminal managers and operational crews to design and launch improvement plans that boost productivity and throughput. The manager will monitor the rollout of these initiatives, report on results, and identify further optimisation opportunities. Responsibilities also include steering projects such as process redesign, technology refreshes, and workforce efficiency programmes, while ensuring safety compliance and sharing best‑practice guidelines throughout the network. Regular reporting on capacity, volume and productivity will support senior decision‑making. The ideal candidate brings five to ten years of hands‑on experience in operations, efficiency or operational excellence within the container‑terminal arena. A solid grasp of terminal operating procedures, systems and key performance drivers is essential, as is a proven ability to analyse operations, enhance results and streamline processes. The person must be comfortable juggling several high‑priority projects, possess strong analytical talent to turn data into actionable insight, and communicate clearly in English, both in writing and presentations. Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint are required, while familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methods is considered an advantage.
