The Audi Revolut F1® Team is the official factory entry of Audi into the FIA Formula 1 World Championship starting in 2026. The programme is spread across three sites, power‑unit development in Neuburg, Germany, chassis engineering and race operations in Hinwil, Switzerland, and a technology hub in Bicester, United Kingdom. The Senior Aerodynamicist will join the Aerodynamics Development group at Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil and help shape the car that will make motorsport history. In this role you will lead and contribute to every stage of aerodynamic development. Daily tasks include defining innovative concepts that stay within current Formula One regulations, running and interpreting CFD simulations, coordinating wind‑tunnel campaigns, and analysing track data to steer the development direction. You will own major projects from initial idea through validation, support the department's effort to improve correlation between CFD, wind‑tunnel and on‑track performance, and provide night‑shift wind‑tunnel coverage when required. Mentoring junior aerodynamicists and collaborating closely with other specialists are also key parts of the job. The position demands a solid academic foundation and extensive hands‑on experience. Candidates should hold an MSc‑level background in fluid mechanics and aerodynamics, preferably with a degree in aerospace or aeronautical engineering. A proven track record in aerodynamic development for Formula One or another top‑level motorsport series is essential, together with deep expertise in CFD, wind‑tunnel testing and aerodynamic data‑analysis tools. Experience leading development projects and guiding engineers, strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, and the capacity to make sound technical judgments are required. The role also calls for a performance‑oriented, highly motivated attitude, resilience under pressure, and excellent written and spoken English. Working in Hinwil offers access to state‑of‑the‑art facilities and a fast‑paced, collaborative environment where every contribution directly impacts race performance. The team values a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence and mutual support, and Audi is an equal‑opportunity employer that encourages diversity and personal growth. What the role asks for: - MSc‑level background in Fluid Mechanics and Aerodynamics - Degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering or related field - Significant experience in aerodynamic development within Formula One - Experience in other high‑level motorsport categories - Strong experience with CFD, Wind‑Tunnel testing and data analysis tools - Proven leadership of aerodynamic projects and mentoring engineers - Performance‑oriented, highly motivated attitude - Resilience and ability to work under pressure - Good written and verbal English communication - Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
