Value, Access & Policy Associate

Amgen, a leading biotechnology firm dedicated to serving patients worldwide, is looking for a Value, Access & Policy Associate to join its Value, Access & Policy (VA&P) team. The role focuses on ensuring individual patients can obtain Amgen medicines by navigating reimbursement pathways and supporting broader policy initiatives. On a daily basis the associate will manage case‑by‑case reimbursement processes, negotiating directly with health insurers, fiduciary medical doctors and treating physicians under the guidance of a project lead. The position also involves helping to expand umbrella contracts with insurers, assisting the rollout of advanced IT tools for off‑label use, and contributing to external engagement activities within industry and SGV associations. Additional duties include researching, mapping stakeholders, gathering intelligence for VA&P projects, participating in internal and external meetings, and monitoring market trends to inform strategy adjustments. Candidates must hold a master’s degree in economics, biomedical science (such as pharmacology, molecular biology, medicine) or law, and possess relevant experience with the Swiss health‑care system from either academia or industry. Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, writing and presentation abilities are required, along with a proven capacity to collaborate across a complex matrix organization. Fluency in German and English is essential, while French language skills are considered a plus.
