Global Category Lead Engineering & Construction (Switzerland)

The Global Category Lead, Engineering & Construction will sit in the Procurement and Infrastructure team at the company's Bulle office in Switzerland. In this senior position the individual will shape the sourcing approach for large‑scale capital projects that span the organisation's worldwide network, covering engineering services, construction works, installation activities and integrated delivery models. On a daily basis the role involves creating and rolling out global sourcing strategies that align with investment priorities, steering strategic sourcing initiatives, and overseeing supplier selection, contract negotiation and commercial discussions with key partners around the globe. The lead will also define commercial frameworks and contracting models that balance delivery speed, value creation, compliance and risk, while continuously monitoring supplier performance against cost, quality and reliability metrics. The position requires a proven background in procurement and infrastructure, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders from engineering, operations, finance, legal, sustainability and project management. The candidate must be comfortable acting as a senior business partner, influencing executive leaders and strategic suppliers to shape investment decisions and long‑term partnerships that support sustainable growth. The team works on global investment and infrastructure programmes across multiple sites and regions, interacting closely with engineering, operations, project delivery, finance, legal, sustainability, quality and EHS professionals.
