The Electrical Lead position is within the Life Science team at John Sisk & Son, a family-owned international construction company. The role involves overseeing the delivery of electrical systems for large-scale pharmaceutical projects, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and compliance. The Electrical Lead's main responsibilities include managing the electrical team and ensuring all electrical works, such as LV/MV distribution, UPS, generators, and life safety systems, meet project objectives for program, cost, and quality. This role also involves providing technical guidance to engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors, as well as developing and implementing strategies for electrical execution, resource allocation, and planning. The Electrical Lead will review and approve electrical design documents, ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, and oversee testing and commissioning processes. Additionally, the role requires driving health, safety, and environmental compliance, implementing quality assurance procedures, and managing risks and issues. To qualify for this role, candidates must have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification. They should also have proven leadership experience in large-scale pharmaceutical construction or engineering projects, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities. Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements for electrical works is essential. Relevant health and safety training, such as Safe Pass or CSCS, is also required. Nice-to-have skills include experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical, data center, or advanced technology projects, as well as knowledge of commissioning and integrated system testing in regulated environments. Familiarity with BIM and digital project delivery tools, as well as commercial awareness including contract administration and cost control, are also beneficial. The role is based in Schaffhausen, offering a competitive salary, 26 days of annual leave, a pension, and benefits.
