Voltiris develops solar panel concepts that turn the unused portion of sunlight in large agricultural glasshouses into clean electricity, helping growers lower their carbon impact. The company now seeks an Installation & Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for delivering and commissioning these solar solutions at customer sites across Europe. The daily work revolves around taking a project from the moment the kit arrives until a fully operational power system is handed over. You will evaluate each location, verify that the site meets technical criteria, and organise the delivery of components. On‑site you direct mechanical fitters and electricians, supervise the assembly, and ensure that every step follows the company’s safety and quality rules. After the system is live, you keep an eye on its performance through an online dashboard, respond to alerts, and organise both corrective fixes and the scheduled preventive maintenance programme. All actions are recorded in detailed as‑built files and shared with greenhouse operators during on‑site training sessions. The position requires a solid background in installing complex equipment such as photovoltaic arrays or greenhouse infrastructure, with proven ability to manage mechanical and electrical trades simultaneously. Candidates must be comfortable performing initial site checks, solving logistical challenges, and preparing the necessary technical parts while maintaining a stocked inventory. Experience in commissioning, testing, and confirming that every component meets specifications is essential, as is a disciplined approach to quality, safety, sanitary and regulatory compliance. The role also demands the creation of clear documentation and the delivery of technical instruction to end users. A valid driver’s licence, the capacity to work safely at height, professional fluency in English, and readiness to travel across Europe for multi‑day assignments are non‑negotiable. Additional assets include a Swiss CFC certificate in solar installation, prior involvement in preventive‑maintenance schemes, and familiarity with remote‑monitoring platforms that turn system alerts into on‑site actions. Ability to read engineering drawings, electrical schematics and equipment manuals, coupled with strong problem‑solving skills and an autonomous work style, will help you succeed. Knowledge of French, Dutch or German is considered a plus. The role can be based either in Switzerland or the Netherlands, offering full responsibility for field execution, direct interaction with mechanical, electrical and R&D teams, and the chance to influence product development. Voltiris provides a collaborative, high‑trust scale‑up environment with clear pathways for growth as the international portfolio expands. What the role asks for: - Proven experience installing equipment in industrial greenhouses or PV systems - Hands‑on coordination of mechanical and electrical tasks on site - Ability to perform preliminary site assessments and resolve logistics - Capability to prepare technical components and manage inventory - Experience commissioning, testing and validating system performance - Strict adherence to quality, safety, sanitary and regulatory standards - Skill in producing clean as‑built documentation and training clients - Valid driver’s licence - Ability to work safely at heights - Professional proficiency in English - Willingness to travel across Europe for multi‑day projects - CFC vocational certificate in solar installation (nice‑to‑have) - Experience with preventive maintenance programs and remote monitoring tools (nice‑to‑have) - Ability to monitor installations via online platform and act on alerts (nice‑to‑have) - Planning and supervising yearly preventive maintenance campaigns (nice‑to‑have) - Ability to read technical drawings, electrical schematics and manuals (nice‑to‑have) - Strong problem‑solving and autonomous work style (nice‑to‑have) - Fluency in French, Dutch or German (nice‑to‑have)
