Railway Commissioning engineer/Technician

We are a Swiss specialist that designs, manufactures, commissions and maintains railway construction and track‑maintenance machinery. To expand our commissioning and technical‑support activities, we seek a Railway Commissioning Engineer or Technician with solid railway‑industry experience. The role is heavily field‑oriented and includes regular international assignments. Your daily work will involve installing, testing and adjusting railway machines at customer sites, diagnosing faults and performing repairs. You will handle multidisciplinary systems, electrotechnics, automation, hydraulics, pneumatics and diesel engines, and verify the correct operation of sensors, measurement devices and onboard digital equipment. You will also support users and local teams, produce intervention reports and forward technical issues to our engineering department. An initial training period on our machines precedes the first overseas missions. The position requires a higher technical education in electrotechnics, automation, mechatronics, industrial maintenance or a related discipline, together with proven railway‑industry experience. You must have a track record in commissioning, maintenance or field service of complex machinery, be fluent in professional English and be ready for high international mobility. Strong troubleshooting abilities, independent field work, and comprehensive knowledge of electrotechnics, automation, sensors, hydraulics, pneumatics and diesel engines are essential. Fluency in French, German, Italian or another language, as well as familiarity with measurement systems, LiDAR or other digital railway technologies, are advantageous. The role can be based in various countries depending on project needs, starts on 01/11/2026 and is a long‑term mission with extensive travel opportunities.
