The role of Commis de Patisserie at Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich involves working within the Pastry Team to create high-quality culinary experiences. The main day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and cooking pastries, confectionery, and desserts. The Commis de Patisserie will work closely with the patisserie team to ensure smooth workflows during shifts, assist in setting up and dismantling dessert buffets, and comply with all guidelines for food storage and hygiene regulations. This role is crucial for maintaining the high standards of the hotel's dining venues. To qualify for this position, candidates must have completed training as a pastry chef or cook. Flexibility to work under pressure, including weekend and holiday shifts, is essential. Strong communication skills, teamwork, and reliability are also required. A high level of commitment and quality awareness is expected, along with very good knowledge of English. Additional foreign language skills are considered an advantage.
