Commodity Buyer (m/f/x)

Liebherr Machines Bulle SA, a leading company in component technologies, is seeking a Commodity Buyer (m/f/x) to join their team in Bulle, Switzerland. The role involves defining and implementing purchasing strategies for assigned product categories, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives. The main day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing supplier markets, cost trends, and technological developments. The role also involves identifying, assessing, and selecting new suppliers based on various requirements and building strong relationships with them. Additionally, the buyer will negotiate and implement framework agreements and commercial contracts, while anticipating and mitigating risks related to capacity, supplier dependency, and geopolitical developments. To excel in this role, candidates must have a degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field with a solid technical understanding and additional training or qualifications in purchasing. More than three years of experience in project purchasing or strategic procurement is required. Proficiency in English, French, and/or German is essential. Familiarity with MS Office, SharePoint, and Infor is also necessary. Strong teamwork skills, resilience, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively are highly valued.
