Global Clinical Distribution Lead (m/f/d)

The role of Global Clinical Distribution Lead is within a well-known pharmaceutical company based in Kaiseraugst. The company specializes in managing clinical trials and ensuring the timely delivery of treatments to patients. The position involves overseeing the end-to-end distribution of clinical trial supplies, from technical release through to delivery at clinical sites. The main day-to-day responsibilities include managing the on-time delivery of supply shipments across a global depot network, aligning with study requirements and patient demand. The role also involves representing the distribution function in various teams and meetings, resolving operational issues, and planning depot supply. Additionally, the lead will contribute to cross-functional projects, process improvement initiatives, and handle transactions in the clinical supply system with high accuracy. The role requires working within a GMP compliant environment and following established quality procedures. To qualify for this role, candidates must have a degree in Business (Operations or Supply Chain Management), Biotechnology, or a related field. They should also have at least 3 years of experience in clinical trial management, logistics, warehouse management, or supply chain, preferably in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry. Strong knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems is essential, as is experience working in cross-functional, international, and agile organizations. Fluency in English and proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace are also required. Additionally, candidates must be able to influence internal and external stakeholders, solve problems independently, and manage complex situations. Nice-to-have skills include training in Operational Excellence, Lean, or Six Sigma, as well as APICS or SCOR certification. The role is based in Kaiseraugst and offers a 100% workload with a planned duration of 12 months, with the possibility of extension. The team is global, with members in Switzerland, the US, and Canada, and the start date is as soon as possible, with the latest possible start date being November 1, 2026.
