Forward Deployed Engineer (AIF)(m/f/d)

Allianz seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to integrate AI into real business processes. The company focuses on bringing AI into real business processes, partnering with Allianz Operating Entities (OEs) and the ecosystem to build production-ready solutions. These solutions are ideally created by adapting existing Minimum Viable Solutions (MVS) and AI Building Blocks or by developing custom components and solutions tailored to the OE's needs. The FDE's main responsibilities include collaborating with local and global domain experts to understand and translate problems into AI solutions. They will reuse and extend MVS/AI Building Blocks to design and implement custom services, integrations, and agents. The role involves shipping solutions across different stacks, ensuring security, compliance, and reliability, and setting up CI/CD, containerization, and IaaC as needed. Additionally, the FDE will document, operationalize, and scale solutions by contributing new patterns back to the central building-block catalogue. To excel in this role, candidates must have a strong background as a software engineer with a proven track record of shipping production code across a wide stack, including backend, frontend, data, and ops. Comfort in operating in unfamiliar codebases, domains, and partner environments is essential. Practical experience with cloud-native stacks and DevOps, including CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, testing/observability, and secure coding in regulated settings, is required. Knowledge of the modern data/AI stack, such as Python, APIs, and vector databases, and experience integrating LLM/agent frameworks is also necessary. Strong collaboration and communication skills, along with the ability to pair effectively with an AI Engagement Manager and execute with thorough documentation, are crucial.
