Business Analyst Intern

Garda Capital Partners, a multi‑billion‑dollar alternative‑investment firm with over 22 years of experience in relative‑value fixed‑income strategies for institutional investors, operates from hubs such as Wayzata, New York, West Palm Beach, Geneva, Zug, Copenhagen, Singapore and Scottsdale. The company is adding a Business Analyst intern to a global team that maintains and enhances its core third‑party trade‑capture and profit‑and‑loss system across a range of asset classes. The intern will provide real‑time application support to portfolio managers, risk analysts, middle‑office staff and trading assistants, while also performing start‑of‑day checks on market data feeds, risk reports and FIX message flows. Responsibilities include gathering and analysing user requirements, working with internal technology groups or external vendors to design, test and roll out system enhancements, assisting new users during onboarding, and coordinating local testing for system releases or urgent hot‑fixes. Candidates must hold a master’s degree in a STEM discipline or finance and possess solid knowledge of fixed‑income instruments such as swaps, bonds and bond futures, as well as FX products like forwards, swaps and options. Prior exposure to trading‑assistant, middle‑office or systems‑support roles is preferred. The role requires a self‑starting attitude, the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment, and strong communication skills for interfacing with both business users and technical teams. Additional assets include familiarity with Bloomberg market‑data feeds, basic SQL proficiency, experience with job‑scheduling tools, and any previous use of a Bloomberg terminal.
