Senior Risk Manager

Garda Capital Partners, a multi‑billion‑dollar alternative‑investment firm with more than two decades of experience in relative‑value fixed‑income strategies, is seeking a Senior Risk Manager for its New York or Geneva office. The position sits within the Risk Management team and focuses on macro or rates‑driven portfolios. The role involves creating and refining risk frameworks, designing scenario and stress‑test processes, and developing metrics that support macro‑strategy oversight. Daily duties include deep‑dive analyses of portfolio performance, building dashboards and analytical tools, and continuously monitoring both short‑term and longer‑term risk exposures. The manager will also lead complex, business‑critical projects, apply knowledge of non‑macro trading approaches, and convey key risk insights to the broader team. Candidates must bring eight to ten years of relevant experience at a leading bank or hedge fund, and a strong grasp of macro trading tactics and associated risk factors. A master’s degree in finance, engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline is preferred, along with proven ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment. Strong attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills, are essential.
