We are looking for a Project Manager, Environmental Remediation to join ERM, the world's largest sustainability‑focused advisory firm. The role is based in either Lausanne or Zurich and will involve leading contaminated‑site projects for a diverse portfolio of Swiss clients, while supporting ERM's mission to deliver integrated, sustainable solutions. In day‑to‑day work you will steer remediation programmes from the planning stage through to close‑out. This includes directing site investigations, building conceptual site models, carrying out risk assessments and designing remediation measures. You will organise multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors and field staff, act as the primary client liaison, and ensure that all technical reports, proposals, budgets and schedules meet the required quality standards. Compliance with cantonal and federal Swiss environmental regulations will be a core part of the job. The position requires a university degree in hydrogeology, geology, environmental engineering, environmental sciences or a closely related discipline. You must have several years of experience managing environmental remediation or contaminated‑land projects, a solid grasp of soil and groundwater contamination, remediation technologies and investigation methods, and proven project‑management capabilities such as budgeting, scheduling, stakeholder engagement and reporting. Familiarity with Swiss environmental regulatory frameworks and fluency in German, French and English are essential, as is strong problem‑solving ability and the capacity to work both independently and within multidisciplinary groups. Consulting experience is regarded as a strong advantage, and you will benefit from a collaborative, international consulting environment that encourages professional growth. ERM offers flexible working arrangements, modern offices in Lausanne or Zurich, pension contributions, work‑cation options, health and wellness programmes, and a commitment to diversity, inclusion and belonging. The role provides the chance to make a tangible impact on environmental outcomes across Switzerland while advancing your career within a dynamic team. If you are ready to lead high‑impact remediation projects in a supportive and forward‑thinking firm, we invite you to apply. What the role asks for: - Degree in hydrogeology, geology, environmental engineering or related field - Several years experience managing environmental remediation projects - Strong knowledge of soil and groundwater contamination and remediation - Proven project management skills (budgeting, scheduling, stakeholder engagement) - Proficiency with Swiss environmental regulations (cantonal and federal) - Fluency in German, French and English - Strong problem‑solving ability, independent and team work - Consulting experience (nice‑to‑have)
