ServiceNow Architect/Solution Designer MW

The ServiceNow Solution Designer/Architect role at Sword involves acting as the platform’s subject‑matter expert, shaping technical designs for client projects and ensuring the ServiceNow environments meet business needs. Candidates must be eligible for a Swiss work visa, meaning they need Swiss or EU nationality. Day‑to‑day duties include taking ownership of solution architecture, guiding development teams as they configure core applications such as Service Catalog, Service Portal, Incident, Change, Problem and Knowledge, and building new solutions—particularly within CSM, SPM and ITAM modules. The role also requires gathering both business and technical requirements, documenting implementations, creating test cases, and championing best‑practice standards. Integration work spans linking ServiceNow to external systems like SCCM, Intune and SAP. Applicants need at least four years of hands‑on ServiceNow experience, having customized a minimum of two major modules (CSM, SPM, ITAM). Deep familiarity with portals, workflows, business rules, UI components, ACLs, notifications and platform administration—including performance monitoring, upgrades and role management—is essential. Technical proficiency must cover HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, PowerShell, Perl and Python, as well as REST/SOAP integrations, LDAP and mid‑server setups. A background in Agile/Scrum is expected, ITIL v3 is preferred, and both ServiceNow Administrator and Implementation Specialist certifications are mandatory. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT and fluency in written and spoken English and French are required. Additional ServiceNow certifications are advantageous, and strong communication, analytical, problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities are valued. The position is based in Switzerland, with the work‑visa eligibility condition being a key consideration.
