Cyber Security Expert - OT Systems (m/f/d)

WinGD, a leading developer of two‑stroke marine engines headquartered in Winterthur, Switzerland, is seeking a Cyber Security Expert, OT Systems. The company, with roots dating back to 1893, designs engines that power merchant shipping and aims to drive sustainability across the industry. The role is full‑time (100 % workload) and will be based at the Winterthur site. In this position you will keep a close eye on cybersecurity regulations and emerging trends that affect WinGD's current and future products. You will translate legislation, class rules and product strategy into concrete cybersecurity requirements, then shape the architecture for upcoming engine control systems while ensuring compatibility with existing designs. Your duties also include creating audit strategies, documentation standards and training guidelines, as well as developing and testing security solutions following the V‑cycle in a collaborative team. You will monitor compliance with the defined requirements, manage the technology stack for OT components of large two‑stroke engines, and act as the primary contact for internal and external customers on OT cyber‑resilience. Clear communication across project teams and support for project feasibility are essential, as is advising product strategy on security implications. The ideal candidate holds an MSc, or equivalent proven capability, in Computer Science, Automation & Control, or a related discipline. You must possess deep, OT‑focused knowledge of cyber‑security standards and methods, and demonstrate comprehensive expertise in software architecture and development processes. Proven experience in automation and control systems, together with solid understanding of large two‑stroke combustion engines, is required. Hands‑on experience with IEC 62443 implementation and a strong command of English are also mandatory. Fluency in German is considered an advantage.
