Finance Manager

The Finance Manager role involves overseeing financial management, controlling, and reporting processes. The company operates in the industrial/manufacturing sector, focusing on ensuring financial integrity, internal control, and compliance. The position is based in Sion and involves acting as a business partner to the President and Management Team. The main day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and reporting processes. This ensures timely and accurate operational reporting to the Business Unit and statutory management and consolidation reporting to the Group. The role also involves supervising the day-to-day accounting and transaction processing, which is handled by an Accountant/Bookkeeper. Additionally, the Finance Manager is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, cash flow forecasting, and long-term financial planning. They prepare and present monthly management reports, variance analyses, and KPI reporting, and monitor financial and operational performance. To qualify for this role, candidates must have a higher education in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or an equivalent field. Several years of relevant experience in finance, controlling, accounting, or auditing are required. Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written, is essential. Candidates must also have a solid understanding of internal controls, compliance, and financial governance, as well as proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel. Nice-to-have skills include experience in controlling within manufacturing or industry, and knowledge of Swiss statutory accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
