Lonza is looking for a Process Expert – Compounding & Support to join its Stein, AG site in Switzerland. The role sits within the Drug Product Services division, contributing to a new greenfield expansion that aims to deliver safe, high‑quality medicines. The day‑to‑day work revolves around steering aseptic compounding activities and continuously refining those processes. You will act as the technical point of contact for operators, diagnosing and solving process problems, and managing any deviations, investigations, and corrective actions that arise. The job also includes carrying out validation and qualification tasks, drafting and maintaining the required GMP documentation, and keeping equipment and procedures ready for inspection. Supporting both internal and external audits and sharing expertise in sterile manufacturing environments are also part of the remit. To succeed, you must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a life‑science field such as biotechnology, pharmacy, biology or chemistry, and have practical experience in aseptic or sterile production settings. A solid background in GMP‑regulated manufacturing, with a clear grasp of quality, compliance and documentation standards, is essential. Fluency in English and at least conversational German (B1) are required for effective communication across the site. The ideal candidate is a proactive, dependable team player who can handle a fast‑moving environment, juggle multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities. Additional assets include prior involvement in qualification and validation projects, familiarity with thawing and compounding operations, and knowledge of GMP washers and autoclaves.
