The company focuses on creating high-speed kinetic interceptor drones to neutralize malicious drones, ensuring the safety of critical infrastructure and environments. CDDS operates at the forefront of counter-drone technology, delivering reliable protection for essential assets. The main responsibilities of the Drone pilot & Operations Engineer include managing flight operations and field tests, supporting the integration and production of drone platforms, and enhancing production and test workflows. The role involves piloting interceptor drones, organizing and conducting field tests, assembling, integrating, calibrating, and maintaining drone systems, and troubleshooting technical issues in both field and workshop settings. To qualify for this role, candidates must have flight experience with UAVs, experience in assembling, integrating, calibrating, and maintaining UAV systems, strong practical and troubleshooting skills, and comfort working outdoors and conducting field tests. Additionally, candidates should be open to frequent travel. Nice-to-have skills include a background in production, manufacturing, or mechanical assembly, EASA drone certifications (A1/A3, A2, STS, or equivalent), competitive robotics or UAV competition experience, and a driver's license. The role is based close to Zurich Hardbrücke (Zurich City) and offers a fast-moving startup environment with high ownership, real-world testing, and customer demonstrations.
