Hardware Engineering Intern

Amazon RIVR is a robotics spin‑off from ETH Zurich that builds wheeled‑legged robots for real‑world doorstep delivery. After its acquisition by Amazon in March 2026, the company combines custom hardware, onboard autonomy and cloud coordination to create safe, reliable autonomous robots for last‑mile logistics. The Hardware Engineering Intern will assist the hardware team in developing and testing robot components, support integration of autonomy systems and help ready hardware for cloud‑based operation. The role offers exposure to cutting‑edge physical AI and the chance to work on robots that navigate stairs, doors and uneven urban terrain. The position is open only to candidates who are citizens of Schengen Area countries, except for ETH Zurich or EPFL students who must complete a compulsory internship as part of their studies.
