Buyer Procurement Indirect - CH | HR Switzerland

Zambon Switzerland SA, the Swiss branch of the multinational pharmaceutical group Zambon, is looking for a Buyer to join its Indirect Procurement team in Cadempino, Ticino. The role will help shape purchasing strategies and processes, build strong supplier partnerships and use digital tools to create sustainable value for the company. On a daily basis the Buyer will drive digitalisation of procurement through data‑analytics and AI, turn market insights into actionable buying strategies and support e‑sourcing via SAP Ariba. Responsibilities include scouting and qualifying national and international suppliers, negotiating contracts, SLAs and KPIs, and managing the full indirect spend cycle for MRO, CAPEX, laboratory supplies and facility‑management services. The person will also analyse spend, total‑cost‑of‑ownership and market benchmarks to uncover savings, consolidate vendors and mitigate risk, while maintaining close collaboration with engineering, QA/QC, finance, IT and plant‑operations teams. The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management Engineering, Economics or a related discipline and bring at least five years of buyer experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical, chemical or cosmetics sector. A solid understanding of sourcing, supplier management and compliance within regulated environments (GMP) is required, as is knowledge of contractual‑compliance and data‑privacy regulations. Proven hands‑on expertise with SAP Ariba (sourcing, buying, contracts) and its integration with ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA, is essential. The role also demands good proficiency with analytics and data‑visualisation tools such as Power BI, strong negotiation, spend‑analysis and supplier‑management skills, and excellent written and spoken English.
