Legal Engineer 60-80%

A leading Swiss business law firm is expanding its Legal Tech & Innovation unit in Zurich or Geneva and seeks a proactive Legal Engineer on a 60‑80 % contract. The role sits within a dedicated team that manages the firm’s own AI platform and a suite of SaaS solutions, helping lawyers integrate technology into their daily practice. Each day you will configure, update and keep the AI system running, as well as support cloud‑based tools such as e‑signature services and other digital applications. You will provide on‑demand technical assistance for client projects, handling data analysis, transformation and cleaning, and automating repetitive steps. Direct support to end users includes troubleshooting, answering technical questions and encouraging adoption across practice groups. You will also advise legal staff on responsible AI use, set up basic integrations via APIs, and produce English‑language documentation and process guides while working closely with the core IT department and internal teams. The position requires a completed study or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Legal Tech or a similar field, together with two to three years of relevant experience, preferably in a professional services or corporate setting. Practical Python scripting for automation, hands‑on experience configuring SaaS tools, and a strong orientation toward user support are essential. Fluency in written and spoken English plus excellent German or French is mandatory, and you must be able to communicate technical concepts clearly to legal professionals. Additional assets include familiarity with large‑language‑model or retrieval‑augmented generation tools, a genuine interest in legal technology, or prior work in a startup or small tech team.
