We are looking for a Customer Success Engineer specializing in cyber security to join a fast‑growing Zurich‑based startup that helps organisations stop communication‑based threats. The role sits at the crossroads of engineering, customer success and sales, and you will own the full customer lifecycle, from onboarding through long‑term adoption, while working independently and driving value from our security product. Your daily work will involve guiding new clients through technical demos, proofs of value, email‑attack simulations and onboarding sessions. You will nurture strong, trusted relationships, anticipate issues early, and steer resolutions to satisfaction. Acting as a bridge between customers and the product team, you will translate needs into feature ideas and analyse production problems to uncover root causes. To succeed, you need a solid technical IT background, ideally a degree in Computer Science or a related field, and fluency in both German and English (spoken and written). At least two years of relevant experience, preferably in a customer‑facing capacity, is required. You should be comfortable with basic programming or scripting (Python, JavaScript or Bash) and familiar with tools such as Postman or Git. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, a quick learning mindset, and the talent to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders are essential. A plus would be knowledge of email systems (SMTP), email attack vectors, Linux command‑line usage and networking fundamentals like firewalls, VPNs and proxies. Experience with Docker, Grafana, Postfix or Go is also welcomed. The position is full‑time (100 %) with a hybrid model, three days a week in the Zurich office and flexible hours. You'll benefit from employee shares, a transparent compensation framework, a hardware budget, five weeks of paid vacation, regular team events, tech talks and monthly All‑Hands lunches, all within a high‑ownership, autonomous startup environment. What the role asks for: - Degree in Computer Science or similar technical field - Fluent German and English, spoken and written - Minimum 2 years relevant work experience - Basic programming/scripting skills (Python, JavaScript, Bash) - Experience with Postman or Git debugging tools - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities - Ability to learn new technologies quickly - Explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders
