Qualified Accountant - Swiss & French Accounts

Pardgroup Suisse, a leading provider of integrated services for retail and large‑scale distribution, is looking for a Qualified Accountant to join its Lugano office and support the Swiss and French entities. The accountant will manage the full accounting cycle for both countries, handling the general ledger, accounts payable, receivable and intercompany transactions. Responsibilities include preparing month‑end and year‑end closings, financial reports and statutory accounts, performing bank reconciliations, accruals, provisions and pre‑payments, and ensuring compliance with Swiss and French accounting, VAT and tax regulations. The role also involves monitoring cash flow, maintaining internal controls, resolving discrepancies promptly, and providing accurate financial information to management. The ideal candidate holds a degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field and brings at least three years of experience in a comparable multi‑entity accounting position. They must possess strong knowledge of Swiss accounting standards and VAT, be familiar with French accounting and VAT rules, and have solid experience with month‑end and year‑end close processes. Experience working with auditors, tax advisors and other external stakeholders is required, as is fluency in English and French. Good skills in Excel and accounting/ERP systems are also essential. Nice‑to‑have attributes include experience with Dynamics or QuickBooks, working in international teams, and knowledge of German, though these are not mandatory.
