The Accommodation Manager at UEFA is responsible for overseeing the accommodation strategy, planning, and execution for National Team Competitions (NTC) and related events. UEFA, the governing body for football in Europe, organizes various tournaments and events, including the UEFA EURO 2028. The Accommodation Manager's daily tasks include defining and implementing accommodation strategies, managing project plans, budgets, and timelines. They lead the accommodation projects from start to finish, handling risks, stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure successful outcomes. This role also involves building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, accommodation agencies, hotels, and other service providers. The manager is responsible for hotel sourcing, procurement, and contracting processes, ensuring that all accommodation solutions meet the needs of teams, officials, VIP guests, partners, and staff. They oversee the performance of accommodation agencies and suppliers, ensuring contractual compliance and operational readiness. During events, the manager leads on-site accommodation teams, resolves operational challenges, and monitors service delivery and financial reconciliation. To qualify for this role, candidates must have at least seven years of experience in accommodation, hospitality, event management, or a related field, with a preference for experience in international sporting events. Proven experience in managing complex projects and accommodation operations in fast-paced environments is essential. Candidates must also have experience in negotiating and managing hotel contracts, supplier relationships, and procurement processes. Previous people management experience, including team leadership, coaching, and development, is required. Proficiency in English is a must. Nice-to-have skills include strong project management abilities, with the capability to handle multiple workstreams, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously. The role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented, and solution-driven individual who can anticipate risks and resolve complex operational challenges. Willingness to travel within Europe and work irregular hours during events is also expected. The position is based in Nyon, Switzerland, with the possibility of working from home up to one day per week.
