Engineering Manager

As the Engineering Manager for the Wealth Platform, you will lead the delivery, operations and people side of a roughly 25‑person engineering group, reporting to the CTO and partnering with product leadership. Your daily work will involve turning product and technology priorities into clear engineering plans, guiding team leads to set individual goals, and ensuring those plans are resourced and executed. You will track progress, surface risks, and drive corrective actions when timelines slip. The role also includes capacity and resource planning, identifying skill gaps, and promoting AI‑assisted development tools where appropriate. You will establish metrics, coach continuous improvement in quality and processes, and serve as the primary engineering liaison for product, client success and other non‑technical groups, coordinating dependencies and communicating trade‑offs. The position requires a solid software engineering background with at least five years of hands‑on development experience and a track record of delivering complex enterprise or B2B SaaS products. You must be comfortable discussing architecture, assessing technical difficulty, and earning credibility with senior engineers. Proven people‑management skills are essential, including coaching individual contributors and team leads, providing actionable feedback, and fostering a culture of accountability, clear decision‑making and trust. A strong ownership mindset and the ability to navigate competing priorities are also mandatory.
