The role of Laboratory Technician, Process Development & Small-Scale Manufacturing is a temporary contractor position at Novartis, facilitated through Magnit Global. To qualify for this role, candidates must have completed an apprenticeship as a Laboratory Technician or an equivalent scientific technical qualification. They should have practical experience in synthetic chemistry and strong hands-on experience with chemical synthesis and process development activities. Experience in supporting or participating in the scale-up of chemical reactions and processes is also required. Proficiency in laboratory safety standards and HSE requirements, as well as strong documentation and organizational skills, are essential. The role requires good working proficiency in German and strong written and spoken proficiency in English. Nice-to-have skills include experience working with standard synthesis and analytical equipment, such as HPLC, GC, NMR, EasyMax, and FlexyALR. The role is based onsite with a workload of 80-100% (32-40 hours per week) and a contract duration of 18 months starting in November 2026.
