The Bioprocess Engineer will oversee operational activities for assigned manufacturing projects in the Cell Banking area. This role involves acting as a subject matter expert, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring that projects meet performance, safety, and quality standards. The engineer will lead the preparation of master and working cell banks, managing all process steps from cell culture to filling, including viability studies for both clinical and commercial projects. Additionally, the engineer will ensure that operational activities for clinical and commercial manufacturing are performed on schedule and within safety and quality standards. To qualify, candidates must have a Master's Degree or equivalent experience in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related Life Science field. Alternatively, a Bachelor's Degree with experience in pharmaceutical production is acceptable. Candidates should have a few years of experience in biomanufacturing and a solid understanding of bioprocess technology, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards. Proficiency in English is required, and good German skills are beneficial. Nice-to-have skills include experience with USP (Upstream Processing) units such as bioreactors or DSP (Downstream Processing) units such as chromatography.
