Principal Product Manager (XDR & Exposure Management) - Security Solutions

Elastic, known as the Search AI Company, builds a cloud‑based platform that blends search precision with artificial‑intelligence insight, serving more than half of the Fortune 500. Its Security Solutions line helps organizations protect private data by unifying search, security, and observability. Within this ecosystem, the Principal Product Manager for XDR & Exposure Management will steer the vision and execution of the extended detection‑and‑response (XDR) product family, while integrating exposure and vulnerability capabilities that are increasingly converging with traditional detection workflows. In this position the manager will own the complete XDR roadmap, shaping strategy and delivery across endpoint, cloud, identity, and network detection and response. Responsibilities include guiding the product from correlation and incident construction through automated response actions that operate at machine speed yet keep analysts in the loop. The role also leads the expansion of XDR into exposure and vulnerability management, overseeing features such as patch management, advanced device control, host firewall handling, and remediation workflows, while managing noise reduction to ensure effective use. A key part of the job is to delineate the boundaries between XDR, exposure, and related surfaces like attack‑surface and cloud‑posture, treating those signals as inputs rather than separate products. Collaboration with the Entity Analytics team is essential to fuse asset‑criticality data and entity context, enabling prioritized exposure handling that complements rather than conflicts with existing capabilities. This cross‑functional work sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and Elastic Security Labs, leveraging the platform’s unified data layer to deliver native convergence of detection and exposure functions.
