Technical Studentship - Mechanical Engineering 2027-1

The position requires you to be enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering or related degree and to have completed at least three semesters of study. You must be a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State (with certain exceptions) and remain a full‑time student throughout the studentship. A solid grasp of mechanical engineering fundamentals, strong communication abilities, and a proactive, precise attitude toward learning are essential, as is fluency in English or French. The role is fully onsite in Geneva, beginning 1 April 2027, with a 40‑hour work week and a contract lasting from four to twelve months. You will receive a tax‑free monthly allowance of 3 486 CHF, 30 days of paid leave plus a two‑week annual shutdown, comprehensive health‑insurance coverage, and possible travel and family supplements.
