Laser Production Engineer

As a Laser Production Engineer at Menhir Photonics, you will join a fast‑growing scale‑up that designs and manufactures compact, high‑precision laser systems. Your daily work will take place in an ISO6 cleanroom where you will handle delicate optical parts, assemble laser modules, align optical paths and work with fiber optics. You will follow detailed work instructions to build, align and test each laser, keep the cleanroom environment within strict cleanliness standards, and support the company's Quality Management System. After an initial training phase, you will be expected to produce Menhir laser systems independently while also collaborating with colleagues as needed. The role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Photonics, Physics, Optical Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science. You must be fluent in English and possess basic German language skills. Practical experience in optical systems, photonics, laser alignment, precision assembly or industrial manufacturing environments is essential, as is a proven ability to troubleshoot production and quality issues methodically. A structured, quality‑focused mindset is also required.
