Sales Manager/Director

The open position is for a Sales Manager/Director, China International, reporting to the Sales Director and Head of Business Growth for Greater China. The role sits at the intersection of product marketing and the sales organisation, ensuring that knowledge assets and client engagements are aligned. The day‑to‑day work revolves around generating revenue and expanding the China outbound portfolio. Core tasks include prospecting and closing new agency and marketer accounts, leveraging existing relationships to open doors, and nurturing ongoing campaigns to increase spend. The incumbent will lead RFP responses, craft customised proposals, and assemble pitch decks, case studies and competitor analyses for client presentations. Collaboration is essential: the role works closely with internal sales support, client services and trading teams to upsell, and partners with marketing, PR and events budgets to raise brand visibility through roadshows and other engagements. A strategic commercial plan must be built and tracked against monthly and quarterly targets. Successful candidates must be fluent in both Mandarin and English and bring three to five plus years of experience in digital advertising sales, ideally within programmatic environments. They should possess an extensive network of contacts across agencies and marketers operating in the China outbound market, demonstrating the ability to open doors and win business. A proven track record of translating client objectives into media proposals, coupled with deep product knowledge that supports sophisticated programmatic solution selling, is required. Direct experience working with agencies, whether as a client, partner or employee, and a history of building, justifying and executing sales forecasts round out the mandatory profile.
