Backed by more than 8,000 specialists, the company delivers high‑availability, low‑carbon energy solutions and is expanding its reach into the broader blue economy. In daily work the engineer leads all on‑site construction activities, ensuring that every task complies with health, safety, security, environmental, quality and schedule targets. The role also involves troubleshooting operational issues, reducing non‑productive time, coordinating priorities across disciplines, monitoring progress against the programme, and mentoring the construction crew to foster continuous improvement. Applicants must hold at least a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with solid knowledge of construction processes and HSSE regulations. A minimum of eight years’ proven experience delivering complex projects, strong analytical and communication abilities, and a track record of successful project execution are required. Additional expertise that strengthens a candidacy includes familiarity with FPSO hulls, turret mooring systems, topside construction and commissioning, as well as business acumen, third‑party management, and risk‑planning skills. The position is based within SBM Offshore’s global network, headquartered in Amsterdam, and offers the chance to work in a collaborative, innovation‑driven environment that values diversity and equal opportunity.
