Data Management Specialist 100% (Maternity coverage until 30 September 2027) (f/m/d)

Julius Baer, the leading Swiss wealth‑management group, is looking for a Data Management Specialist to cover a maternity leave until the end of September 2027. The position sits within the Data Management & Architecture team and supports the bank's strategic shift toward a data‑centric operating model. In this role you will collaborate with both business and technology partners to keep essential data assets, metadata and business definitions up to date. You will help data owners and other stakeholders maintain glossaries, dictionaries and consistent metadata, and you will back regulatory and strategic projects that need clear documentation of critical data. Building and preserving metadata, data lineage and source information for key business elements is also part of the daily work, as is contributing to the ongoing improvement of enterprise‑wide governance, quality and lifecycle practices. You will monitor compliance with data standards, suggest enhancements to control processes, and produce user guides, training material and documentation to encourage adoption across the firm. The ideal candidate holds a university degree, preferably in a scientific, business‑informatics, banking or finance discipline, and has solid experience with data‑governance, data‑quality and data‑lifecycle concepts. Familiarity with banking‑specific data domains and the related regulatory landscape is required. You should be comfortable managing relationships across diverse functions, able to question existing approaches and drive improvements in a complex setting, and demonstrate a proactive, hands‑on, collaborative attitude. Fluency in English is mandatory, while German language skills are considered a plus. The assignment is a full‑time, fixed‑term contract that offers exposure to a global organization with roughly 60 locations worldwide.
