The Technical Project Manager role is based in Lausanne and is responsible for leading multi-disciplinary teams through the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, from project definition to mass production. The main day-to-day responsibilities include managing and coordinating the NPI development process, leading the strategic direction of ESW activities, and driving the integration of AI/ML technologies. The role also involves collaborating with various teams, including Product Management, Hardware and Software Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing, to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet defined expectations. Additionally, the Technical Project Manager will lead and staff a project team across multiple sites, synthesize project data, and report regularly to stakeholders. They will also identify, evaluate, and escalate risks associated with project activities and ensure that project activities align with organizational policies and processes. To qualify for this role, candidates must have a minimum of 7 years of project management experience in a high-tech environment, with a focus on cross-functional and global teams. Essential knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and platforms, strong cross-functional knowledge in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, and Embedded Software, and expertise in project management standards and methodology are required. Candidates must also possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work effectively with multi-site and cross-functional teams. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering is also required. Nice-to-have skills include formal Project Management training and Certification (PMP), a background or experience in Software/Embedded Software, and prior experience leading AI/ML product integration in embedded high-tech environments.
