The Head of Capacity & Congestion Management will be based at the Aarau headquarters and is responsible for guaranteeing that the country's high‑voltage transmission capacity is used in the most efficient way, both domestically and as part of the broader European system. In this position you will steer the Capacity & Congestion Management team, shaping its structure, processes and skill set. The ideal candidate holds a master's qualification in electrical engineering, economics or a natural‑science field, complemented by additional economic studies where possible. Six to ten years of relevant experience in electricity trading, power‑plant dispatch or grid operation are required, together with deep insight into both Swiss and European energy markets and their regulatory environments. Advanced competence in congestion and balancing‑group management, as well as operational planning, is essential. Proven experience leading a functional unit or formal training in people management is expected, alongside a track record of negotiating with international partners and authorities and strong conflict‑resolution abilities. Fluency in German and English for business purposes and a high level of French are mandatory. The role offers a modern workplace close to Aarau's train station, flexible working options within a 42‑hour week, and the possibility to work from home. Employees benefit from 30 days of annual leave plus holidays around Christmas and New Year, a progressive social package, an attractive pension scheme and support for further education. The position is full‑time, ranging from 80 % to 100 % workload, and provides a competitive salary linked to performance.
