Hitachi Energy is seeking a Maintenance and Service Technician to ensure the reliability and safety of their production facilities, automation systems, and technical infrastructure in Wettingen, Switzerland. The role involves maintaining high availability and operational safety, as well as collaborating with various departments to continuously improve production processes. The technician will handle routine inspections, diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation issues, and implement corrective actions. They will also perform preventive maintenance, enhance maintenance standards, and support production during technical problems. The role includes identifying and implementing technical improvements to boost equipment availability, productivity, and quality. Additionally, the technician will assist in plant upgrades, renovations, and technical investment projects, and manage critical spare parts to ensure technical availability. The ideal candidate will have completed a technical apprenticeship as an Automation Engineer, Mechatronics Engineer, Polymechanics Engineer, or Electromechanical Engineer. Experience in maintaining industrial production plants and knowledge in mechanics, pneumatics, electrical engineering, and automation are essential. Familiarity with SPS controls, robotics, and industrial automation systems is beneficial. Experience with SAP PM, maintenance management systems, or similar tools, along with understanding of TPM, Lean, and Operational Excellence methods, is also required. Proficiency in German is a must, and knowledge of English is a plus. The role may involve shift work and on-call duties, so flexibility and a strong team spirit are important.
