Intern - Springboard Women Internship Program

McKinsey is launching a Springboard Women Internship, a short‑term placement designed for university students who want to experience management consulting. The program runs in the Swiss offices of Zurich or Geneva for roughly ten to twelve weeks, placing interns alongside small client teams to tackle real business challenges. During the assignment, participants will join groups of three to five consultants, collecting and interpreting data, building and testing hypotheses, and shaping actionable advice. They will convey findings to senior client representatives and work together with the client’s staff to put recommendations into practice. Throughout the project, interns receive structured training, regular coaching, and a dedicated mentor from the local office who guides both professional tasks and personal development. Candidates must be enrolled in at least their third semester of an undergraduate programme, or be pursuing a master’s or doctoral degree, and demonstrate an excellent academic track record. Evidence of leadership in work or extracurricular settings, strong analytical and quantitative abilities, and a collaborative mindset are essential. Applicants should be prepared to travel and be fluent in English plus German for Zurich or French for Geneva, capable of expressing complex concepts clearly in both spoken and written form. The internship offers exposure to a globally diverse network spanning more than 65 countries, with mentorship from senior consultants and opportunities for communication‑skills workshops. Successful participants may receive a full‑time offer after completion, and the role is open to women as well as transgender and non‑binary individuals, reflecting the firm’s inclusive culture.
