Senior Product Manager - Pro Onboarding

Payward, the parent of Kraken and several other fintech brands, has spent the past fifteen years building a modern, globally accessible financial‑infrastructure platform that supports an open financial system. Within Kraken, the Pro team delivers the web and mobile trading experience for professional users across spot and futures markets. The Senior Product Manager, Pro Onboarding will be responsible for shaping the complete onboarding journey for Kraken Pro users worldwide, guiding them from the first page visit to their inaugural trade. In this role you will continuously monitor the onboarding funnel, pinpointing what works and where users stumble, and then translate those insights into tangible UX enhancements. You will develop a deep understanding of the Pro customer, learning what motivates them and how best to communicate value during their early interactions. By staying close to real‑time onboarding data, you will locate the biggest sources of friction, identify drop‑off points and prioritize high‑impact opportunities. The job also involves designing trust‑building experiences, accelerating the path to a user's first trade, and collaborating closely with Design, Data, Engineering and Marketing to ship improvements. Leveraging AI tools, you will surface friction, forecast at‑risk users and personalize onboarding flows and messaging for each client. The position requires at least four years of product‑management experience, with a proven record of delivering onboarding, activation or growth‑focused user‑experience projects. You must possess a sharp sense for product design, able to detect friction, simplify complex processes and craft experiences that inspire confidence and excitement. Strong data fluency is essential: you should be comfortable defining success metrics, dissecting funnels and turning analytical findings into prioritized actions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed to convey clear narratives and data‑driven arguments to stakeholders. A customer‑first instinct and genuine curiosity about users are mandatory, as is daily proficiency with AI tools to analyze data, personalize experiences and accelerate product‑management workflows. Passion for crypto and trading, together with a firm belief in Kraken Pro's mission, is also required.
