Senior Manager Financial Services Consulting – Liquidity & Funding

PwC's Financial Services Strategy & Transformation practice in Zurich is looking for a Senior Manager to join its advisory team. The role focuses on Liquidity & Funding and Treasury matters, helping wealth managers, asset managers, private banks, family offices and other financial‑services institutions shape and execute their strategic and transformation agendas. On a daily basis the Senior Manager will design and deliver solutions that enable clients to measure, manage and deploy liquid assets efficiently, both on a short‑term operational level and a mid‑term structural horizon. The work involves integrating liquidity insights into the clients' risk frameworks, especially as interest rates rise, and leveraging emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence to create innovative, value‑adding approaches. The position also requires building and nurturing senior client relationships, spotting new business opportunities, leading proposal development and contributing thought‑leadership that strengthens PwC's market presence. Additionally, the manager will help shape the go‑to‑market strategy for liquidity and funding services across key banking clients and collaborate with a global network that shares industry insights worldwide. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a closely related discipline and brings more than eight years of hands‑on experience in the banking sector or consulting. Deep expertise in liquidity and funding topics, including funds transfer pricing, and a solid background working with trading, treasury, financial‑risk or finance‑and‑accounting teams are essential. Experience with complex banking products, a strong numerical and logical orientation, and advanced skills in Excel and other quantitative tools are required, as is the ability to present ideas clearly in PowerPoint. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset, are also mandatory. Fluency in English is a must, while German proficiency is highly valued; additional languages such as French are welcomed.
