Requirements Manager - Ammunition & Missile Systems

The position of Requirements Manager supports a defence contractor that develops advanced ammunition and missile systems. In this capacity you act as the architect of the requirements‑management process and tooling, creating and governing the framework that feeds directly into the formal S3 qualification and certification pipeline for complex munition projects. Your daily work revolves around establishing a bidirectional traceability architecture that links system baselines, safety analyses and risk mitigations to design elements. You configure and maintain the Jama Connect toolset, designing custom database schemas and linking workflows that support whole‑life assessment and in‑service surveillance testing. You also build verification cross‑reference matrices that map requirements to component‑level safety tests and platform‑level trials, and you ensure the data environment remains audit‑ready for milestone reviews such as SRR, PDR and CDR. In addition, you deliver continuous training to multidisciplinary engineering teams, coach them on writing verifiable requirements, and lead internal quality audits to guarantee data integrity. The role requires a minimum of five years’ experience in systems‑engineering environments focused on ammunition, missiles, rockets or explosive weapon systems, together with authoritative knowledge of the NATO S3 framework and related STANAG and AOP standards. You must be a power‑user or administrator of Jama Connect and possess master‑level understanding of the V‑Model, MBSE/SysML, configuration management and verification & validation methods. Professional certifications in requirements or systems engineering, such as IREB CPRE or INCOSE CSEP, are highly valued. Preferred attributes include a proven ability to train and upskill multidisciplinary teams, confidence in defending traceability and integrity before national and international military certification authorities, and experience handling ITAR/EAR security classifications while supporting whole‑life assessment activities.
