IP Paralegal

Nestlé is looking for an IP Paralegal to join its team in Vevey, Switzerland, on a permanent full‑time basis with a hybrid work model. The position supports senior legal counsel who manage the company’s trademark assets and leads independent intellectual‑property initiatives, helping to safeguard and enhance Nestlé’s global brands. Each day the role involves performing searches to assess trademark availability and presenting clear advice to the counsel, overseeing the filing and grant stages of trademark and industrial‑design registrations for the assigned business unit, and dealing with objections, defensive oppositions and related agreements. The incumbent also tracks competitor trademark publications, prepares analytical reports on moderately complex legal issues, maintains accurate internal files, dockets critical dates and monitors key portfolio milestones. In addition, the paralegal assists with legal research, gathers evidence and organizes sales and marketing material for trademark and design matters. Candidates must bring proven experience handling trademarks in a multinational setting or at a law firm, and be comfortable navigating online databases and web‑based IP management platforms, ideally Memotech, or demonstrate rapid digital learning ability. Strong organisational talent, meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to work independently while collaborating with others are essential. Fluency in written and spoken English is required; spoken French is advantageous.
